Leominster, MA – Leominster Credit Union donated $1,000 to the Community Harvest Project, which provides more than 100,000 residents in the Worcester area access to healthy food.
“It is hard to imagine that there are so many people in need in our area who don’t have access to healthy fresh fruit and vegetables,” commented John J. O’Brien, LCU’s President & CEO. “The Community Harvest Project is about providing a healthy solution to hunger in our community.”
According to Kristin Bafaro, Executive Director of CHP, “The 2014 growing season is well underway, and we look forward to our partnership with Leominster Credit Union as we work to improve access to healthy foods for people in need in Worcester County.”
