Leominster Credit Union announces they have hired Matt Dufault as the AVP, Mortgage Origination and Sales. Dufault brings 30 years of residential lending experience to his new role where he will oversee LCU’s team of mortgage originators.
“We are delighted to have Matt onboard at LCU,” said Craig Madonia, Senior Vice President of Lending. “Matt is well known throughout the Worcester and North Central Massachusetts area for his expertise serving the local mortgage market. We look forward to having Matt lead our team of originators to help our members find the best mortgage for their needs.”
Prior to joining LCU, Dufault worked in senior residential lending positions at Merrimack Mortgage Company, GIA Mortgage Corporation and Northern Mortgage Company. He owned and operated Country Home Mortgage Corporation in Central Massachusetts for many years. Most recently he was Senior Loan Officer at Mackinac Savings Bank.
“LCU has a great reputation as a local mortgage lender,” said Dufault. “What attracted me to LCU is their philosophy to listen to each homebuyer’s situation and work with them to find the best mortgage for their needs. We don’t just send your application off to an office somewhere out of state where an underwriter will look at a financial formula and make a decision. Instead we work directly with each homebuyer and help them find the best solution for their specific circumstance.”
Dufault has been an affiliate member of the Board of the Realtors and Builders Association of Central Massachusetts. A lifelong resident of Holden, Massachusetts, Mr. Dufault earned a BA in Biology from Assumption College.
